The Ithaca College Gerontology Institute invites you to join a community book discussion on the important topic of ageism.  This event is open to the public and encourage people of all age to participate.  What better way to learn from different perspectives than from an intergenerational group.  This is a great learning opportunity for our students, faculty, staff and community members.

The book selected for this event is Ageism Unmasked: Exploring Age Bias & How to End It by Tracey Gendron.  The Finger Lakes Geriatric Education Center (FLGEC) has a limited number of copies available for individuals to borrow. (Preference given to community members).

Join in the conversation, invite your class to participate, share with your circle of friends.  We are looking for people of all ages to participate in this 4-part series.

Pick a time that works best for you!

  1. Monday's at 10 AM (Oct 23, 30, Nov 6, 13)  with Professor Mary Ann Erickson
  2. Wednesday's at 7 PM (Oct 25, Nov 1, 8, 15) with FLGEC Student Interns (IC Public & Community Health Students)
