The Office of Public Safety as well as other local law enforcement agencies have received multiple reports in recent days of vehicles being entered and, in some instances, items being stolen from the vehicles. These vehicle entries have occurred in campus parking lots and in the surrounding South Hill neighborhood.
Public Safety encourages campus community members to check their vehicles and report any tampering, thefts, or suspicious people. Everyone is reminded to always lock their vehicles and to keep valuables out of sight, preferably in a locked trunk.
Report any suspicious activity to the Office of Public Safety at (607) 274-3333 if it occurs on campus or call 911 for off-campus incidents. If you have questions or concerns regarding personal or property safety, do not hesitate to contact Public Safety.
