WSKG to film live concert of Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers in Ford Hall October 11

The Ithaca College School of Music, Theatre, and Dance is partnering with PBS to present the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers in a special concert that will be filmed as part of WSKG's Expressions series. This unique recital will showcase the Jubilee singers performing alongside guest soloist Krista Overby and with the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra. The concert is free and open to all. Get an inside look at a filmed-for-television event, and be a part of the show! Program begins at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in Ford Hall, James J. Whalen Center for Music, on the Ithaca College campus.

The Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers, directed by Baruch J. Whitehead, is a long-time Ithaca community vocal ensemble which has just been designated an official student ensemble of the Ithaca College School of Music, Theatre, and Dance.

Expressions is WSKG's long-running locally produced series showcasing the best in regional arts and culture coverage. For over 15 seasons they have featured concert performances and artist profiles that highlight the area's talent. Program airs Friday evenings at 8:30 p.m. on WSKG TV and streams live at wskg.org.
