Athletic Training Professor receives prestigious professional award

Dr. Jennifer Medina McKeon, the IC Athletic Training program director and associate professor within the Department of Exercise Science and Athletic Training, received the President's Recognition Award from the Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association (EATA) at the EATA annual meeting and clinical symposium on January 6th.  The Presidential Recognition Award is given to the individual who has shown unselfish and dedicated efforts that have advanced the EATA and the athletic training profession.  Dr. Medina McKeon has served as a leader in the EATA for over ten years during which time she has been instrumental in shaping continuing education for athletic trainers across the northeast.  This recognition reflects her commitment to excellence in service to her profession and to those who serve the physically active.
