PT Older Adult Lab Day

Where – Ithaca College, Center for Health Sciences, Room 207

What to expect - Graduate physical therapy students are learning to administer assessments to older adults (65 years and older) for their course in Motor Development through the Lifespan. Participants must be able to walk independently or with a cane or walker.The students plan to ask you to do common physical therapy tests and measures. After all the tests are completed, you will be given an indication of your balance abilities. Come join the fun, learn about your balance and have an enjoyable conversation with some students.

Directions:Take 96B and turn into main entrance of Ithaca College. Take the first right and just up the hill you will see two large buildings on the left (Smiddy Hall and Center for Health Sciences – these two buildings are attached).Take a left into the parking lot just in front of the Center for Health Sciences. There are several parking spaces marked for Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy (OT/PT). You may park in any of these spaces or if you have a handicapped parking sticker, you may use those spaces. Visitor parking is also available in a parking lot on the right (just after taking your first right).
