Important Update on Campus Climate Follow-Up Sessions

By News, April 26, 2024

Update: The Student Session on Tuesday, April 30, will be virtual only. It will take place via zoom from 4-5 p.m. at this link. All other sessions will be held in person as previously scheduled.

Although our Campus Climate survey has come to a close with the conclusion of the key findings community presentations, our work has only just begun! We are excited to announce some upcoming opportunities to engage with members of the Campus Climate Committee as we turn our attention to what comes next. The Campus Climate Co-Chairs will be hosting several opportunities where we hope to engage our community on what you found most compelling about the results of our survey and learn more about your perspectives on how we should move forward.

The purpose of these upcoming sessions is to serve as an initial platform for discussion, as we look to leverage the data from the survey results to further strengthen areas where we are succeeding and address areas where we are experiencing challenges as a college community. The participation and feedback from the members of our campus community are critical in helping to inform and guide the priorities and decisions for the next stage of this work. These sessions will be structured to allow space where all three of our core constituencies – students, faculty, and staff – can have equal opportunity to engage and share their perspectives.

Session Details:

  • Faculty Session – Tuesday, April 30 | 3-4 PM Taughannock Falls Room (Campus Center)
  • All-Campus Session – Wednesday, May 1 | 3:30-4:30 PM Klingenstein Lounge (Campus Center)
  • Staff Session – Thursday, May 2 | 1-2 PM Taughannock Falls Room (Campus Center)

We anticipate announcing additional community sessions during the Fall 2024 semester.

We hope that you can join us and help play a role in shaping the future of our campus climate at Ithaca College. If you are unable to join us at one of these upcoming sessions, but would still like to engage with us, please contact us directly at campusclimate@ithaca.edu.

Sincerely,

The Campus Climate Committee Co-Chairs

Belisa González, Dean of Faculty Equity, Inclusion and Belonging
