What are some activities or groups you affiliate with that feel relevant to you?

Leadership Scholar, ALANA Scholar, Student Governance Council senator-at-large.

What skillsets and perspective do you bring to the steering committee?

As a freshman, I will be at Ithaca College to see the majority of the Strategic Five-Year Plan implemented throughout my time here. I have experience working with school administrations in my high school career and representing student populations, so I hope I can help shape this process and eventually help implement it to see it come to fruition.

What motivated you to join the steering committee?

Ithaca College is at a transitional phase and I wanted to be a part of the process to make the most of my experience here and to represent every student on campus. I am motivated to represent everyone on campus to ensure the future is bright for everyone at Ithaca College.

What is your major hope for the strategic planning effort?

I hope that the steering committee can create a feasible and dynamic plan that will be implemented into the college community. I believe it is crucial that we represent every group of people on campus, particularly those that have not had their voices heard before.

What do you love about Ithaca College that you hope will never change?

Being here for such a short period of time, I have noticed the spirit of involvement that thrives on campus. I have also experienced the idea of theory, practice and performance that I believe is taken seriously here and helps students prepare for the future. I hope that the experimental learning where students can work in a broad variety of settings never changes.
