Move-in Day!

Move-in starts at the A&E Center and will occur on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, for first-year students and Sunday, August 25, 2019, for transfer students. Check in for orientation, and pick up the key to your residence hall. Families will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of information sessions.

Information Fair

Representatives from numerous campus offices as well as off-campus partners will be on site to share resources with families and guests while students check in. Shop at the bookstore's pop-up tent, and pick up your student ID—all at the information fair! (Remember to submit your photo online so your ID card can be printed and available for pick-up.)

Parking for check-in and family and guest orientation will be available in lots A, M, C, S, and S ext.

After you check in at the A&E Center, you'll move your car to Lot B, D, A, or J (whichever is closest to your residence hall).

Move-in Crew

After check-in, you will proceed to your housing assignment, where you will be welcomed by faculty, staff, and current students who will help you move in. Move-in crew volunteers will be wearing dark grey and bright green shirts (and a smile!). Handcarts and wagons will be available to help you transfer your belongings from your vehicle to your room. Please be aware that there may be a brief wait.

Family and guest orientation

Family and Guest Orientation will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday. Please register in advance

Late Arrivals

If you prearranged for late arrival with the Office of New Student and Transition Programs, you will check in at the Area Office nearest your residence hall between 4:00 p.m. and  9:00 p.m.

  • Terraces and Towers: Terrace 7 Area Office
  • Emerson, Garden Apartments, and Upper and Lower Quads: Eastman Hall Area Office

Transfer Move-In

Sunday, August 25, 2019 | 9:00 am–noon*
Shelley's Concourse, Athletics & Events Center

*Check-in will remain available until 4:00 pm, but please be aware that required orientation programming begins at noon.

Family Programming

Sunday will include optional programming for families of incoming transfer students. Please pre-register for Transfer Family and Guest Orientation.
