If you had an IEP or 504 Plan in high school or have a disability that will require academic or residential accommodations at Ithaca College, please schedule a meeting with an SAS specialist and provide documentation at least two weeks prior to any deadline (e.g., housing selection) or start date (e.g., starting classes) to ensure sufficient time to process and complete requests. Given COVID-19, SAS is being as flexible about accommodation deadlines as possible.

It’s Time to Take Your Placement Exams!

Student Writing

As your New Student Checklist indicates you are required to take the mathematics placement exam. If you studied a modern language in high school, you are also required to take a language placement exam. Placement exams help determine the appropriate level of the first Ithaca College course you take in these subjects. Even if you do not anticipate taking courses in these areas, your major may require you to—and your interests may change (especially if you add a minor or double major). Given that you’ve just finished related high school coursework, now is the ideal time to take your placement exams. Find math exam resources here, and more information about language placement exams here

IC Tradition: Ithaca is GORGES!

Buttermilk Falls

More than 150 waterfalls are within a 10-mile radius of Ithaca! Students say that some of the best spots to visit are Robert Treman State Park, Taughannock Falls, Buttermilk Falls, Ithaca Falls, Rocky Falls, and Cascadilla Falls. Hike at the falls or gorges, and swim at Buttermilk Falls or Treman State Park—or in Cayuga Lake at Taughannock Falls State Park!
