Casey Kendall serves as the Deputy Chief Information Officer and Associate Vice President for Applications & Infrastructure at Ithaca College

In this role, she leads an integrated portfolio that includes network and unified communications, systems architecture, enterprise applications, data and analytics, web development, project and process innovation, and AI integration. Her work focuses on building user-centered, resilient, and future-ready technology environments that advance Ithaca College’s mission and strengthen the student and employee experience.

Casey brings a distinctive cross-sector perspective shaped by her service in the U.S. Navy, experience in advanced manufacturing, and leadership roles across higher education. She is known for fostering collaborative, values-driven teams and for championing technology solutions that enhance institutional effectiveness while honoring the human impact of change.

At Ithaca College, Casey leads major initiatives in AI governance and workforce readiness, data architecture modernization, cloud telephony transformation, and digital experience renewal. She chairs the Presidential Working Group on Artificial Intelligence, guiding the College’s approach to responsible innovation and the ethical use of emerging technologies. Her leadership has helped position the College as a forward-thinking institution committed to operational excellence, student success, and continuous learning.

At the national level, Casey is an active contributor to EDUCAUSE and the broader higher-education technology community. She has served as faculty for the EDUCAUSE Digital Transformation Learning Lab and as a panelist and presenter on topics such as AI governance, digital transformation, values-centered leadership, and balancing innovation with fiscal realities.

Casey holds a master’s degree in Cybersecurity and is deeply committed to creating environments where people can thrive, whether through thoughtful technology design, inclusive leadership, or collaborative problem-solving. She believes that every challenge is an opportunity to improve the experience of students and the communities that support them.
