Hello, my name is Jess Shapiro (she/her/hers) and I am the Assistant Director of Student Engagement in the Office of Student Engagement. I serve as the advisor to IC After Dark, a student organization dedicated to providing late-night weekend programming for students, as well as the Senior Class Executive Board and Senior Week committee. I also coordinate Emerging Leaders Weekend (for new students), the Student Leadership Institute, Campus Center Programming, the Co-Curricular Symposium, and awards & scholarships (including the Peggy Ryan Williams Award for Academic & Community Leadership). I am happy to answer questions about any of these activities!
I grew up in Santa Monica, CA and my parents still live there! However, since moving to Boston for college, I now consider myself an East Coaster. Outside of work, I love spending time with my spouse and orange cat (Baboo), reading, baking, going to movies and theatre, and trying new restaurants.
