Hello, my name is Jess Shapiro (she/her/hers) and I am the Assistant Director of Student Engagement in the Office of Student Engagement.  I serve as the advisor to IC After Dark, a student organization dedicated to providing late-night weekend programming for students, as well as the Senior Class Executive Board and Senior Week committee.  I also coordinate Emerging Leaders Weekend (for new students), the Student Leadership Institute, Campus Center Programming, the Co-Curricular Symposium, and awards & scholarships (including the Peggy Ryan Williams Award for Academic & Community Leadership).  I am happy to answer questions about any of these activities!

I grew up in Santa Monica, CA and my parents still live there!  However, since moving to Boston for college, I now consider myself an East Coaster.  Outside of work, I love spending time with my spouse and orange cat (Baboo), reading, baking, going to movies and theatre, and trying new restaurants.

My office is located in Egbert Hall 325 right behind the Office of Student Engagement front desk.  Please feel free to stop in to see me or email/call/Teams me with any questions or concerns you may have.  You can reach me at or via phone at 607-274-3222.  Or, make an appointment to meet virtually or in person here.
