School of Business Retirement Celebration

Our School of Business community invites you to join faculty, current students, and your fellow alumni next month as we celebrate the incredible accomplishments of faculty members who are entering retirement.

The evening will serve as a send-off for eight beloved members of the School of Business faculty: Alan Cohen; Kurt Komaromi; Abraham Mulugetta; Susie Rosenthal; Warren Schlesinger; Gwen Seaquist; William Tastle; and Fahri Unsal.

IC alums in the world of animation will be sharing stories and wisdom of how they broke into animation, aspects of today's animation industry, and offer advice and tips for anyone interested in the many opportunities available in today's animation landscape. ICLA alum Colleen McAllister will guest-moderate, and panelists will be ICLA alum Colleen Evanson, writer for DuckTales, and Scott Oberholtzer, animator for South Park.

In honor of First-Generation Student Celebration Day, join IC's First-Gen Center for our Alumni Panel. Hear the accomplishments and advice from past First-Gen students on how they made the most out of their experience at IC and how they included their families and supporters in that journey. This event is also included in family week programming so Families & Supporters are welcome to join as well.

The Hollywood Writers Room Webinar

Liz Tigelaar '98 and Mikko Alanne '97 will share their stories of how they established themselves as film and TV writers in Hollywood. This webinar will be moderated by Steve Ginsberg, IC Los Angeles Program screenwriting professor and Pendleton Endowed Chair. It is the first of three webinars marking 25 years of the Ithaca College Los Angeles Program. We'll feature ICLA alumni working in the Hollywood communications industry. A Sports Media panel composed of four Ithaca College alumni is planned for Thursday, October 8, 2020,12:00 - 1:00 p.m. as part of the Roy H Park School of Communications "Roundtable" series.

The ​Park Roundtable series​ convenes leading experts, practitioners, and Park faculty in a formal panel presentation to explore key issues in the industries and professions. This program is delivered in partnership with Ithaca College's Philanthropy & Engagement Division and is open to Ithaca College's current students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
