The Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) gives you a solid foundation in art and art history and a chance to explore your own artistic voice, while leaving you space to explore the liberal arts. The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (B.F.A.) is a deep dive into artmaking and art history. Students create a year-long thesis body of personal artwork that is exhibited at the Handwerker Gallery. This is the degree for you if you are considering a life as a professional artist, applying to graduate programs in art, or applying for artist’s opportunities like residencies, grants, exhibitions, or publications. You’ll leave with the knowledge and body of artwork to begin this career path.
