I am so happy to be back and Ithaca and I am also very grateful that there are still opportunities to continue service while being here! It’s been a crazy year so far. For me, I spent the beginning of my year photographing the Australian bushfires and my summer working on a film about the Black Lives Matter movement and the history of Oakland, California. The film still isn’t totally completed, I’m hoping to make it back out west sometime soon to continue working on it and continue meeting new people. I’ve been bouncing around a lot for sure, but I’m excited to be back in Ithaca. Although the virus has definitely put a stop of a lot of things, I’m still excited to be able to work with Megaphone Productions and volunteer at Foodbank of the Southern Tier. For Megaphone we’ll be working with the Syracuse Police Accountability And Reform Coalition (SPAARC). I’m excited to work for them because I can apply what I’ve learned this summer to help them reach their goals as well.
