I am a junior journalism and Spanish double major, with minors in international politics, linguistics, and honors interdisciplinary studies. This fall, I am working with Open Doors English: The Julie Rudd Coulombe Language Program, which is a school for adults learning English as a second language. Once a week I volunteer as a classroom assistant, and outside of the classroom, I will be working with teachers and students to produce promotional media for the school, like advertisements for their online classes. In addition, I am working with fellow scholars and the Women’s Opportunity Center of Tompkins County to produce promotional media centered around client testimonials. My subgroup is partnering with Passion Project to produce a podcast series. This semester, I am also working as a copy editor for The Ithacan and serving as the chair of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, a student-run non-denominational Christian community. I am also the club field hockey team’s representative on the Club Sports Council, which provides student oversight for club sports at the college.
