Chloe Johnston

I am excited to experience on-campus life and academia in my first semester at Ithaca College! This semester, I am working as a writer for The Ithacan’s News, Life and Culture, and Opinion sections. I am also contributing to Buzzsaw magazine’s print issues. As the on-air weather correspondent for ICTV’s Newswatch, I will be spending a lot of time in Studio B this semester. As well, I will be working as a researcher for a historical satire series within ICTV’s entertainment department. Club wise, I will serve as the secretary for a book club on campus, participate in events with LGBTQ+ organizations like IC Prism, and work with IC’s Generation Action.

Together with other Park Scholars, I am collaborating with students at The Village at Ithaca in order to bring awareness to the systemic issues faced by youth of color in the area. Outside of Ithaca College, I am busy creating art with youth culture magazine Pure Nowhere, based in Los Angeles and Melbourne. While making media in all aspects of life, I am ecstatic to bring together my passion for social justice and art as a Park Scholar.
