It is great to be back on Ithaca's South Hill, sharing the stories of this vibrant community. This year, I will continue my service work offering "device advice" to residents of a local retirement community, helping keep them connected to their loved ones across the country. In the Ithaca community, I will continue my work as the first mentor of the Ithaca High School TV Production Club, where I work to train the next generation of ethical media makers with the club's adviser. I am continuing my work in television news as a reporting intern at WBNG-TV in Binghamton, NY, this semester. This is following a summer with KCEN-TV in Waco, TX, where I covered a variety of stories ranging from a capital murder trial to a young cancer warrior's story of survival. On campus, I am the president of the New York Film and Television Student Alliance, which provides resources and connections to media industry professionals. In the Fall, I traveled to the 2023 NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ Journalists convention as a CONNECT cohort member, which is an honor only awarded to nine students in the country.
