2022 EATA Research Winners

3 research award winners

Athletic training seniors Samantha Ruiz, Journye McDonald, and Kiana Telano were recognized by the Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association (EATA) for their research, winning 1st place in the undergraduate category.

They presented their award-winning abstract “The impact of COVID-19 athletics' modifications on the psychological well-being of high school and collegiate athletes” at the 74th annual EATA conference in January 2022.

Senior athletic training students, Megan O'Reilly & Caroline Davenport (pictured with NYSATA President, Arturo "Roy" Flores, IC AT Program Director, Jennifer McKeon, & IC AT Clinical Education Coordinator, Patrick McKeon) were awarded scholarships by the NY State Athletic Trainers' Association. They were recognized at the NY state meeting during the Eastern  Athletic Trainers' Association conference.

Alum speaks to current students

Recent alum, Lee Matthews (IC' 18), spoke with current AT students about the Athletic Training residency program at New Hampshire Musculoskeletal Institute. Lee is an athletic trainer at Greece Olympia High School and durable medical equipment specialist at Rochester Regional Heath.
