Steps to Apply

Step 1: Apply via Common App.

Please submit your application by the deadline for your preferred admission process. If Ithaca is your first choice, you may benefit by applying early decision or early action.

If you have applied to IC previously, you may be able to reactivate your application

Go to Common App.

Decide whether to submit your SAT or ACT scores.

Ithaca College has been test optional since 2012: Most students may choose whether to submit their SAT or ACT scores for admission consideration. If you are home-schooled or attend a high school that provides only descriptive report cards (rather than alphanumeric grades), you must submit either SAT or ACT scores.

If you want Ithaca College to consider your scores in reviewing your qualifications for admission, please arrange for official scores to be sent to Ithaca College from the testing agency. We do not consider SAT subject test scores in our application review.

Step 3: Apply for financial aid.

The FAFSA is the only form required to apply for federal financial aid. Ithaca College requires submission of the CSS Profile to determine whether you are eligible for institutional funding in addition to federal financial aid.

Please be sure to release your data to us.
