You will be assigned to an occupational therapy faculty member who will serve as your adviser for the 5 years of study. This allows you to get to know your adviser well, and makes it easier to problem solve if a problem arises.

You can also access the Academic Advising Center for additional assistance. They can be helpful with responding to questions regarding the Integrative Core Curriculum requirements. They also offer a number of workshops on study habits, time management and organizational skills, and being successful in college that you may find useful.

GPA Requirements

There are two important GPA requirements. You must have a 2.7 GPA prior to the end of the spring semester of the sophomore year in order to continue into the junior year of the program. The 2.7 GPA must be maintained in the subsequent semesters as a minimum requirement to stay in the program. If you have less than a 2.7 in any  semester after sophomore spring, you will receive program warnings and/or be dismissed from the program as per procedures outlined in the Ithaca College Undergraduate Catalog. In order to move into the graduate year, you must have earned a GPA of 3.0 or better by the end of the senior year.
