Hugh Egan Award

Hugh Egan was the first director of the Humanities and Sciences Honors Program from 1995 to 2001 and played an invaluable role in its formation and development.

Through his sense of humor, amiability, modesty, and dedication to intellectual excellence, Professor Egan shaped the program into the respected organization it is today.

A plaque is presented to each year's recipient.

Eligibility

In recognition of Professor Egan and his accomplishments, the Student Advisory Board presents the Hugh Egan Honors Scholar Award to the graduating student who best embodies the aforementioned qualities.
