What's up! My name is August Van Der Werf, and I am a junior Cinema and Photography major and Writing minor. I ultimately want to be a showrunner, filmmaker and actor, but I also love writing prose fiction, essays, and occasional attempts at poetry. I am involved in ICTV as a writer and actor for scripted shows, and my work has been published in Buzzsaw and Stillwater. When I'm not writing or watching movies or TV, I'm probably going to concerts and/or collecting vinyl! I specialize in Creative Writing, Personal Essay, and Academic Writing.
