Recent Activities of Note

2015

March:  Performances of Stravinsky's l'Histoire du Soldat with Cayuga Chamber Orchestra and Walton's Facade with an IC faculty chamber group.

2014

November:  Performed world premier of Fiasco by Australian composer Brendan Collins.  The work was written for Troica, our trumpet, sax, piano trio at IC.

November:  Flew to Vitoria, Brazil, to present a lecture recital at the Association of Brazilian Trumpeters annual conference.  

September:  Recorded Dana Wilson's "Fanfare" with our trio, Troica for a recording of Wilson's music for saxophone.  Release date March, 2015.

2013

November:  Flew to Kiev, Ukraine to give and invited talk on the history and stature of brass playing in Ukraine, and participate in the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the National Academy of Ukraine.  Later in the week, presented a masterclass for the trumpets at the National Academy. 

May:  Recorded Cantatas #51 and #103 for ITG CD.  The CD, released in March, 2014, was sent to 5,000 ITG members and is now available for purchase on the ITG website.  

September:  As ITG President, presented prizes and checks to the Carmine Caruso Jazz Trumpet Competition winners at the conclusion of the competition in Cincinnati, Ohio.
