ITHACA, NY — Tompkins County seniors are invited to put on their dancing shoes and come out to the 22nd annual Harvest Moon Dance — an intergenerational night of music, dancing, refreshments and conversation — at Ithaca College.
Sponsored by the Aging and Gerontologic Education Society (A.G.E.S.), the free event will be held on Friday, Nov. 13, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. in the Emerson Suites. Live music will be provided by Mike Vitucci and the Immortal Jellyfish.
A.G.E.S. — the official gerontology student organization — is dedicated to serving and spending time with the older adults. Its members represent a wide variety of academic disciplines, including aging studies, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, recreation management and sociology.
