This year's Emmy Awards featured many IC alumni. Mike Royce '86 was executive producer of Everybody Loves Raymond, which won the outstanding comedy series award -- Royce's second. He had also been nominated in the outstanding writing for a comedy series category for his work on the show's final episode; the show wrapped in May after nine seasons. Other IC Emmy notables this year that we know of:
Steven Brill '80, who received his first Emmy nomination for outstanding lighting direction for variety, music, or comedy programming;
Patrick Donoghue '86, who won the interactivity award for coproducing iO Dashboard, which aired on iO Channel 600;
five-time Emmy winner Barbara Gaines '79, executive producer of The Late Show with David Letterman, who was nominated again in the outstanding variety, music, or comedy series category;
three-time acting nominee CCH Pounder '75, who this year was nominated in the outstanding supporting actress in a drama series category for her work on The Shield;
Chris Regan '89, who won his fourth Emmy in the outstanding writing for a variety, musical, or comedy category for his work on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart; and
Mad TV production designer John Sabato '80, who earned his sixth nomination for outstanding art direction for a variety, music, or special program.
