IC=Top 10 (x2x10)

By now it’s almost old news—this is the 10th year in a row that IC has been named one of the top 10 master’s universities by region in the “America’s Best Colleges” issue of U.S. News & World Report.  The magazine also named the College in the top 10 “great schools, great prices” for its master’s programs —a list it has also made consistently since the first rankings appeared in 1997.

In “best master’s,” the College ranked seventh—based on peer assessment, graduation and retention, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, and alumni giving—tying Rochester Institute of Technology, the only other New York school in the top tier. “I am not only pleased with our ranking this year but with our consistent ranking—10 years in the top 10,” says President Williams.

Recognizing the College’s excellence is nothing new to ICQ readers or people on campus. “We know we offer our students great value,” says Williams, who is especially proud of the College’s recognition (and ninth place ranking in the north region) in the “great schools, great prices” master’s category, based on the publication’s premise that the most significant values are among colleges that are academically above average.
