JED Campus Initiative's Stop and Breathe Week Events

Consider attending one of these programs to catch your breath before finals!  It is only a selection of one of the many wonderful events you can attend at IC; browse the Events page or Engage for additional opportunities.

This post lists selected events from Friday, December 1st to Monday, December 4th.  A second round will be posted covering Tuesday to Friday events.

Event Title:  Guided Meditation
Time: 12 PM
Location: Muller Chapel
Description:  Meditation sessions are available at noon EST on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in Muller Chapel.  Open to All

Event Title: Visit from Cornell Companions (weather pending)
Time: 12 PM to 1 PM
Location:  Quad in front of the Campus Center
Description: You won't want to miss the chance to hang out with adorable dogs and maybe a surprise guest! Hot coffee, cocoa, and water available

Date and Time: 1 PM - 5 PM
Location:  North Foyer, 2nd floor of Campus Center
Description: Relax before finals with games, hot chocolate, massages & snacks
Sponsor & Contact: BIPOC Unity Center, Center for Health Promotion, the Library, & NSTP.
NOTE: Register for a massage!

Saturday, December 2nd

Event: Senior Recitals
Date and Time: 3PM, 5PM, 7PM
Location: Ford Hall
Description: 3PM Julie Kratz, clarinet, 5PM George Mavrommatis, 7PM, Katherine White, soprano. Open to All.

Event Title:  X, a play by by Alistair McDowall
Date and Time:  8 PM - 10 PM
Location:   McCarroll Studio Theatre
Description:  A character driven SciFi play. $10 students, $15 Friends of IC, $20 Adult.

Sunday, December 3rd

Event Title: Brunch with BomberTHON
Time: 11 AM - 2 PM
Location: IC Square
Description: Come to a holiday themed brunch with BomberTHON! Learn about what BomberTHON does while enjoying a breakfast bar and hot chocolate bar! We will be making holiday cards for the children at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital! Raffles and prizes are available!.  Open to Students.

Event Title:  POLISH
Time:  2 PM - 4 PM or 8 PM -10 PM
Location: Emerson Suites
Description: Join IC Unbound Dance Company for our spring showcase, POLISH. Dances featured will include works by our student choreographers in the stylings of Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Musical Theatre, and much more!

Event Title: Mug-Designing Workshop **Registration req**
Time: 12 PM - 1:30 PM
Location: Friends 102
Description: Learn how to use the Makerspace's Circut machines and mug press to design your own mug! Come with your own design idea or choose from pre-drawn designs. Mugs will be provided! Please plan to be at the event for most of the allotted time so that you have time to finish your mug! Open to students, staff and faculty. Registration is required due to space. Open to All.

Event Title:  Monday Game Nights!
Time: 7 PM - 8:30 PM
Location: IC Square 
Description: Grab all your friends and come down to IC Square to enjoy some board games, snacks, and the rec center! Every Monday from 7:00-8:30pm, no sign ups required! Games and snacks will be provided, or feel free to bring your own!  For students.

Event Title:  Stress Management Drop In: Finals Week Bingo & Survival Guide
Time:  12 PM - 1 PM
Location: Muller Faculty Center 106
Description: Reduce your finals week stress with the Center for Student Success! Stop by the Center for Student Success (Muller Faculty Center 106) during the noon hour December 4th - 8th and meet with the CSS staff for our stress management drop-in hours. Pick up a Finals Week Bingo & Survival Guide and map out your plan for a successful end of the semester.
