Take your valentine out to a night opera with a “buy one, get one free” promo offer to Henry Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas.

Redeem this offer at the Ithaca College Theatre Box Office or by phone at (607) 274-3224 on Thursday, February 13th or Friday, February 14th. Performances will run in the Hoerner Theatre in Dillingham Center from Tuesday, February 18th-23rd.

Experience the electrifying love story of “Dido and Aeneas” like you have never seen it before. Dido, fierce Queen of Carthage, falls in love with a Trojan Price, Aeneas. While their love may be mutual, the fate of their romance is out of their control when a Sorceress plots the destruction of Carthage. Forced apart by trickery, evil and sorcery, the lovers are faced with a brewing storm and potential disaster. Based on Book IV of Virgil’s Aeneid, Dido and Aeneas is Henry Purcell’s one true opera and his only all-sung dramatic work.
