Dear campus community members,
I am pleased to announce the appointment of the members of the search committee for Vice President for Finance and Administration. The members of the search committee are:
Sean Reid, Dean, School of Business
Scott Erickson, Professor, School of Business
Scott Hamula, Associate Professor, Roy H. Park School of Communications
Shaianne Osterreich, Associate Professor, School of Humanities and Sciences
Susan Bassett, Director, Office of Intercollegiate Athletics
Delphia Howze, Director of Engagement and Talent Management, Office of Human Resources
Marc Israel, Assistant Provost
Mark Ross, Environmental Safety Specialist, Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management
Megan Schumacher, School of Business
Board of Trustees
The committee will begin its work with our search firm, Witt/Kieffer, on January 24.
Last month, Witt/Kieffer's team actively engaged with members of our campus community in obtaining feedback for the development of the leadership profile that will be used to solicit nominees for the Vice President of Finance and Administration.
I am grateful to the many individuals who participated in these feedback sessions and dedicated their time and energy to this effort as the semester came to a close. Witt/Kieffer had many conversations with our vice presidents; deans; members of the Institutional Effectiveness and Budget Committee; members of the executive committees for the faculty, staff, and student governance councils; and finance and administration staff. These conversations were invaluable in understanding the type of individual needed to lead the Division of Finance and Administration.
Search chair Sean Reid will be providing updates to the community as this search progresses. As with the Provost search, you are invited to stay tuned to Intercom and the senior team searches website for more information in the weeks ahead.
We have one more senior leadership team search planned for this academic year, for Vice President and General Counsel. This search will launch in February and I am currently in the final stages of creating that search committee.
I look forward to working with the members of our Vice President for Finance and Administration search committee and our other search committees as we fill these important roles.
All my best,
Shirley M. Collado
