Welcome Back to the SAC!

We know things look different this semester but please know that the SAC is still available for your student organization needs (we can't wait to get Craft Day Fridays back up and running too!). 

The Student Activities Center is located at 311 Egbert Hall in the Campus Center. This space serves as a resource center for student organizations. A Student Leadership Consultant is always on duty when the SAC is open to provide assistance and answer any questions you may have! 

The SAC will be open Monday - Friday, 11:00 am -  5:00 pm. Any questions can be directed to ose@ithaca.edu or (607) 274-3222. 

A few reminders: 

  • Student organizations will be encouraged to hold all meetings virtually, including those with OSE staff
  • Face coverings will be required within the Student Activities Center at all times.

Capacity & Set Up

  • The capacity of the Student Activities Center has been significantly reduced to ensure proper distancing between visitors. For those who are familiar with the space, the five individual tables within the space have been moved to create two long tables with one chair at each end allowing space for four (4) visitors.
  • Due to the square footage of the space, a total of six (6) students, which includes a student employee at the desk is the maximum capacity for the SAC. 

Access to Space

  • To reduce face-to-face and bi-directional foot traffic, anyone wishing to enter the SAC will do so using the main entrance of OSE and exit through the main doors in the SAC (located by Taughannock Falls).
  • The Student Activities Center is a space meant to utilized for student organization business. We invite any student organization to visit and use the space when we're open! Due to the limited capacity, we encourage anyone to call the Office of Student Engagement (607-274-3222) to check the availability of the space. 
    • We request students stay no longer than two hours to provide an opportunity for additional students to use the space. A maximum of two individuals per organization will be allowed at one time.
    • Student organizations can e-mail ose@ithaca.edu with questions about how to access the space or supplies. 

Access to Supplies

  • An online request system will be available for student organizations to request materials they need for organization business. Walk-ins will not be encouraged. 
    • Students who have items in storage throughout the Campus Center will utilize same online request system. Items will be requested in advance and SLC will leave items at a designated ‘curbside’ pickup location. Organizations can return items to either front desk during normal business hours.
