Your Journey at Your Pace

IC Responsibility will provide you with an opportunity to expand your knowledge about pro-social bystander intervention. The program will advance your knowledge base, skill development, and teach intervention strategies to learn how to recognize and respond to potentially harmful situations. Throughout the program, students will be equipped with knowledge and tangible skills to safely intervene.

This program was created with the holistic human experience in mind to provide you with an opportunity to understand identities and experiences that impact intervention, self-care, and supporting survivors to advance your knowledge and skill development in pro-social bystander intervention.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion demonstrating knowledge of pro-social intervention and a variety of marketable skills that allow them to bring positive contributions to any work or educational environment.

IC Responsibility employs a core curriculum which acts as the foundation of the program. Our content areas are Sexual and Dating Violence Prevention, Bystander Intervention, Opioid Overdose, Understanding Identity, Facilitation & Leadership; and applied tracks which take a deeper dive into content areas such as First Responder Education, Equity & Belonging, Self-Care & Supporting Survivors, and Mental Health and Well-Being. The applied tracks offer participants the opportunity to connect the core tenants of bystander intervention to an area of professional and/or personal interest.

Explore some of the most common barriers that prevent people from intervening in potentially harmful situations.
