What happens if I report a sexual
assault or sexual harassment?
- Ithaca College follows directives from the Office of Civil
Rights to review and investigate Title IX allegations.
- Once the College is aware of any instance involving
sexual assault, harassment, or gender/sex based discrimination,
it must investigate the incident to understand the impact on the
individual and campus community, provide support and resources,
and take appropriate steps to remedy the
- Information regarding the incident will be
shared with a Title IX Investigator who will reach out to the
victim/survivor to discuss the incident, offer resources, and
further discuss the process.
- Once the Title IX investigator is notified of an alleged
incident of sexual assault, discrimination or harassment, it must
be investigated even if the victim/survivor does not want to
provide further information or participate in the
