Student Collaboration and Innovation Grant

Funding is available in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Campus Life for small grants to be given to teams of 2 or more recognized student organizations that are working collaboratively to coordinate innovative programs to benefit the student body.

Funding Available

Grants are available for up to $750.00 per event or program.

Grants are limited to one per student organization per academic year.

Requirements

Two or more recognized student organizations must be working collaboratively on the program or activity.

Funding requests must be received no less than 30 days prior to the scheduled event.

All student organizations involved with the event or program should be providing some funding toward the event.

All involved organizations must be recognized student organizations.

Restrictions

Funding will not be given for the same event/program in subsequent years. Events planned annually should be requesting funding through the SGC process.

Funding will not be given for events/programs that have occurred previously unless significant and substantive changes are being made to the event.

Funding will not be granted if an organization has missed a SGC funding deadline or because SGC has depleted their funding for the year.

This funding source is not to be used toward travel to professional meetings or conferences by students.

Funding Application

Funding applications must include:

  • Names of all collaborating organizations
  • A contact person and their contact information for all of the collaborating organizations
  • A description of the event/program including the event/program goals
  • An itemized budget (The SGC budget request form is acceptable)
  • The amount of funding requested

Process for Accessing Funds

If funds are granted, the collaborating organizations should select one organization that will manage the funds. Funds will be transferred automatically to that organization's account for use for this program or event.

Attribution to Funding Source

All publicity materials for funding events/programs should list Student Affairs and Campus Life as a sponsor or supporter of this event.
