Bard College, Elmira, NY. August 2009 – January 2010. Taught Composition I to students earning an undergraduate degree through Bard College’s Prison Initiative at the Elmira Correctional Facility.

Chestnut Hill College, Philadelphia, PA. January 1998 – October 2005. Taught Communication and Thought I (composition 101), Communication and Thought II (composition 102), Introduction to Business Writing and Communications, Creative Writing, Grant Writing. Taught Introduction to Poetry, Contemporary Literature, Eighteenth Century British Literature, Introduction to Literature, Latin American Literature in Translation, and Twentieth Century Literature: Realism. Community College of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA. January 1999 - June 2000. Taught Fundamentals of Writing and Learning Across the Disciplines to ACT 101 students. Presented with Teacher’s Award for students’ research into website usability.

Harcum College, PACT Program, Philadelphia, PA August 1998 – June 1999. Taught two-semester course, Teaching Reading Skills, to parents and grandparents. Coordinated and supervised associated volunteer tutoring across three urban, underprivileged school districts. This was a grant-funded program.

Philadelphia University, Philadelphia, PA. August 1997 – August 1999. Taught Fundamentals of Writing (H-99) to developmental writers; L110, a course with extended hours to benefit intermediate writing students; the standard seminar in argumentation (L111); Writing for the Health Profession (L-614) to students in Physician's Assistant program; and Worlds of Literature. Tutored individual students at the Writing Center.

Washington University in St. Louis August 1995 – June 1997. Taught Freshman Writing to undergraduates at the University.
