Hello! My name is Sarah Boniche (she/her) and I serve as the Associate Director for Student Involvement in the Office of Student Engagement. My role is to mainly oversee our 250+ Student Organizations on campus and assist with anything they need. I help with various Student Organization processes and operations, such as using contracts, planning events, conflict mediation, elections, E-Board retreats, and more! I oversee our Student Activities Center (SAC) space, located at Egbert Hall 311, which is a hub for Student Organizations to meet and hangout. The SAC offers many resources for Student Organizations to be successful, such as computers, a brand-new conference room, arts and crafts supplies, and programming items, such as walkie-talkies and a microphone/speaker set!
I also advise 3 large Student Organizations on campus: the Bureau of Concerts (BOC), who put on great large-scale concerts for the campus community, the Student Activities Board (SAB), who host large-scale programs and events for the entire campus, and Student Governance Council (SGC), which serves as the governing body for students and enacts real change on campus.
I have many years of experience working in different areas of Higher Education, including Academic Advising, Orientation, First-Year Experience, Student Conduct, and Residential Life. I love working with students on their extra-curricular involvement and helping them build their leadership skills and navigate new challenges.
