Program Deadlines and Requirements

Department of Education requirements

Applicants to the MAT programs in Adolescence Education and Agriculture Education as well as the MS program in Childhood Education are required to submit a short essay as part of their online application; the essay topic is included in the online application. Finalists for admission are also required to participate in a campus interview with the faculty.

Applications for both admission and assistantships are ongoing, with preference given to applications received by February 15.

Recommendation letters 2 required (waived for applicants who have completed the Ithaca College Education Studies minor)

An official transcript from each college or university attended should be sent electronically to admission@ithaca.edu by the registrar using the sending institution’s secure electronic submission system. Transcripts sent from a personal email are not official. If an official electronic transcript cannot be provided, an official paper transcript may be sent to:

  • If you are a current IC undergraduate, your Ithaca College transcript will be provided to the Office of Admission automatically. However, you must request official transcripts from any other collegiate institutions you have attended, regardless of whether you received college credit from those institutions.
