Course Registration

New Students and Transfer students joining the Ithaca Community for Spring 2024

Welcome to Ithaca College.

Students will be contacted by their Dean’s Office to schedule courses for the Spring 2024 semester.

Students will receive an e-mail at their Ithaca College e-mail address to set up an appointment with an advisor to create your schedule after Monday, December 18.

Students need to be continuously checking their Ithaca College e-mail accounts for important messages.

The Spring 2024 and the Winter 2024 course schedule

The Spring 2024 and the Winter 2024 course schedule will be available for view on HomerConnect and DegreeWorks beginning Monday, October 16, by noon.

Additional information for the Winter 2024 term can be found at

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, after 12pm, students will be able to view their Registration Status (aka Time Ticket) on HomerConnect. (This is after Block 1 grades post).

Registration Status lets students know what day and time they can begin to register for classes. To ensure the most accurate time ticket, students should do the following prior to October 16, 2023:

  • confirm all transfer credits have been awarded
  • complete any change of majors/minors/concentrations via IC workflow

  • Registration status/Time Ticket assignment is based on credits earnedin-progress fall credits ARE NOT considered for the purposes of Time Ticket assignment.
  • To check your credits earned: on your Student Profile page in HomerConnect, view Overall Hours
  • DegreeWorks includes the classes you are currently taking in credits applied, this is NOT what time ticketing is based on.

Use your HomerConnect Profile page, upper right corner, to find your time ticket: click on Registration Notices. You can also check holds here. Not all holds block registration; please be sure to look at Processes Affected.

Once Spring registration begins, Prerequisite Checking and Course Restrictions WILL include review of your in-progress Fall courses.

The IC Workflow overrides system opens with your time ticket (not before). You cannot submit an override until your time ticket opens.

NO option in the override system when a class is full:

There is NO option in the override system when a class is full; the only option for a full class is to go on waitlist (if waitlist seats are available).

You can also speak to your advisor about registering for a different degree requirement if possible.

Please keep in mind, this is only the beginning of registration which continues until the last day of add/drop in spring, Sunday, January 28, 2024.

Or you may register for a different course that could complete a different degree requirement.

Registration Access Code (RAC) for Spring registration only:

Students in H & S, Recreation Leisure Studies, Pre-Health Professions, all Theater majors, current first year students in the School of Business, and current first year and new transfer students in Health Sciences & Public Health are required to meet with their advisor to receive their RAC which will be available to advisors Friday, October 13, by noon.
