After spending my summer serving an AmeriCorps term at the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, I am excited to return to my studies and, of course, the Park Scholar Program.
I am particularly excited to begin my service projects for the semester. This semester, I will be working with Megaphone Media Productions to develop a paid social media strategy for the Syracuse Police Accountability and Reform Coalition (SPAARC). I will also be volunteering with Students Consulting for Nonprofit Organizations (SCNO), an organization I now run, to help the Tompkins Mask Makers organizations expand their reach outside of Ithaca and into the rest of the Southern Tier. Both of these projects will allow me to use skills I’ve built during my time in the Integrated Marketing Communications program to enact real social change.
In addition to my service projects, I will also be spending my senior year working as ICTV’s Director of Publicity. I’ve been hard at work developing a brand identity and social media strategy for the station and many of the shows!
