I am a political activist, organizer, and journalist. After a life-changing semester abroad at the Ithaca College London Center, I am excited to be back in Ithaca to work toward my B.A. in Journalism with concentrations in Women’s & Gender Studies and Health Policy & Management and to eventually attend law school.
This semester, I am reporting on social justice in Ithaca with a reproductive health niche. Furthermore, I am assisting Professor Allison Frisch with her research on reproductive health framing in the media.
For my group service, I will work with my fellow Park Scholars in the Art Club project, where we will provide children at a local elementary school with opportunities for artistic expression. This past summer, I was the Coalition Director for Women on the Charles Booker U.S. Senate Campaign in Kentucky. For individual service, I will continue my work to improve Kentucky by volunteering for the campaign (phone banking, text banking, digital organizing, etc.) from afar. To stay active, I will spend my fourth year as a member of IC Unbound Dance Company.
