GERONTOLOGY INSTITUTE

The Ithaca College Gerontology Institute promotes and supports research, curriculum development, continuing education, community service, and creative arts activities that focus on aging. A primary goal of the Institute is to provide opportunities for students to learn about aging and careers in gerontology through courses, internships, volunteer activities, and involvement in research projects and professional organizations.

PROJECT LOOK SHARP

Project Look Sharp is an initiative of Ithaca College in collaboration with local school districts, the New York State Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), the Alliance for Media Literate America, and other national media literacy organizations. The program is designed to promote the effective integration of media literacy and critical thinking into classroom curricula at all educational levels and in all instructional areas by providing teachers with materials, training, and support.
