Join us on the H&S Journey

A liberal arts education in the School of Humanities and Sciences prepares you for life in a rapidly changing, multicultural, and globally inclusive world. No matter what course of study you choose, you'll develop intellectual flexibility, critical literacies, and the ability to integrate learning and socially responsible action—the kinds of capacities that are in demand in today’s knowledge-based world, and that citizens of the 21st century need to lead informed lives.
The H&S Difference

Flexible curriculum empowers students to explore across the disciplines.

Celebrated researchers & teachers who offer advanced mentorship and research opportunities in an undergraduate context.

Labs, studio spaces, and community spaces that spread across Ithaca College.
Take up to 4 semesters to try-on different majors, all with the comfort of knowing you’re making progress toward your degree.
Integrative Studies lets student design an individualized major by choosing courses from three or more departments.
This paid research program gives students the opportunity to work alongside engaged faculty mentors over the course of 8-10 weeks.

The link below will take you to a brief survey that will help us coordinate your meeting. We can help you schedule in-person or zoom meetings with faculty in your areas of interest. We can also help you coordinate around a campus visit--so you can have a moment to drop-in on a class. Even if you're not sure what to major in, we can make sure you connect with one of our H&S Pathway coordinators so you can learn more about how H&S students have guidance and support as they explore.
