Music Majors beginning of year checklist!

1. Advising Every Music Major is assigned a Faculty Advisor. You will begin to interact with your advisor at orientation in August. Until then please contact the MTD Dean's Office.

2. View Audition Excerpts and Schedule Ensemble Audition : All Music majors will need to audition for an ensemble placement. These auditions will occur once you are on campus.

3. Sign out a locker: Students in music spend a lot of time in the Whalen Center for Music, and so we encourage you to sign out a locker where you can store your instrument, materials, and belongings safely.

4. Visit IC Bookstore: Once you are registered for classes, you can select and purchase required textbooks online.

5. Visit Hickey's Music Center : This local Music store has been a partner with the Center for Music many years. Students may order music and materials and have them delivered directly to the Whalen Center for Music.
