What clubs/organizations are you involved in?

I am a part of IC Unbound Dance Company and have been since my first semester of freshman year. This year I am president of the company, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences! We are the largest and longest-running dance company on campus, and we do all styles from hip hop to contemporary to tap to jazz.

Are you involved in the Honors, Leadership Scholar, MLK Scholar, or Park Scholar Program?

I am in the Leadership Scholar Program on campus. This gives me incredible opportunities to push myself as a student leader, engage in community service opportunities, and learn from others about leadership.

Where have you studied abroad?

I studied at the IC London Center during the spring of my junior year. I would not change my time there for the world! It was an incredible experience where I got to explore London while also traveling all over Europe.

Have you been engaged in research, internship opportunities, student teaching, or conferences?

I am part of a research team through the psychology department. We are one of the few programs out there that requires students do three semesters of research with one of their professors and their fellow psychology students. I also had an internship at Lehman Alternative Community School for my counseling minor. This experience allowed me to shadow one of their guidance counselors and get an in-depth look at what middle and high school counseling looks like on a day-to-day basis.

Why did you choose Ithaca College?

I chose Ithaca College for a multitude of reasons, but one of the main ones is because of the vibrant community and inclusive student body. I wanted to go to a school where I knew I could be my authentic self. As a part of the LGBTQ+ community, Ithaca made me feel welcomed immediately. I am now concluding my senior year, and I can confidently say that these have been the best four years of my life!
