|Supporting LGBT students and fostering campus-wide understanding|
Ithaca College is home to a diverse, vibrant, and engaged community of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT), and allied students, staff, and faculty. Many LGBT and allied people have found the campus and surrounding community an ideal place to learn, work, and live.
The Center for LGBT Education, Outreach, and Services actively fosters the academic success and personal growth of LGBT students, and it offers college-wide services to enhance the campus community's understanding and appreciation of LGBT people and themes.
Ithaca College and the surrounding area are known as welcoming environments for students, staff, faculty, and community members who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ).
To honor and promote that spirit of inclusion, the Office of Alumni Relations is in the early planning stages of creating an LGBTQ alumni group. If you have ideas or want to volunteer on the ground floor of this project, visit the LGBTQ Affinty Group page on the Alumni website.
The center is located on the lower level of the Hammond Health Center. Visit the LGBT Center website for more information.
