This 1.5 hour experiential, interactive workshop will encourage staff and faculty to explore their own history and beliefs about grief. Mandi Zucker Founder and President of Inner Harbor, will examine how our own beliefs effect the way we support others and learn strategies to be present to those who are in pain. There will be time for questions and answers as well.

LGBTQ representation in media and the arts: why is it important? How does it impact LGBTQ and non-LGBTQ professionals? How does it impact everyone who takes in media and the arts?

The Center for LGBT Education, Outreach & Services presents Tired Tropes and Stale Stereotypes: LGBTQ Representation in Media and Arts Panel on Friday, February 26 from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. eastern time.

Panelists will share their perspectives on the industry, across media and arts genres, and across orientations and identities.

Much like the rest of our colleagues and constituents in the campus community, the Department of Mail Services has been obliged throughout the COVID-19 health crisis to make many modifications to the services we're able to provide to students, faculty, and staff. This has taken several forms over the last year as we adjusted our services to meet the needs of the then current landscape. With the rush of the Spring '21 move-in now behind us, we are able to move ahead with the latest changes to our service to departments and employees.

The Employee Engagement Committee is pleased to invite Ithaca College staff members to partake in a two-part Introduction to Meditation series for IC Staff, led by Diana Dimitrova and Laura Amoriello of Mindful IC. These sessions are being held specifically for staff, to introduce us to the practices that they offer during their Noon Hour Meditation program.  (No experience necessary).
