A student must meet the following eligibility criteria to participate in CSTEP or C-STEM:
- Black/African-American, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian, Alaskan Native OR economically disadvantaged from any race
- Full-time student (undergraduate or graduate); AND
- Enrolled in a major that leads to NYS professional licensure, national credential, certification, or careers in mathematics, science, technology and health-related fields. Examples include majors within the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance, sciences, technology, and mathematics, and students intending to pursue licensed professions such as law, social work, and public accountancy.
Students in CSTEP must also be a New York State resident.
