Day With(out) Art 2020: TRANSMISSIONS

The Ithaca College Center for LGBT Education, Outreach & Services is proud to partner with Visual AIDS for Day With(out) Art 2020 by presenting TRANSMISSIONS, a program of six new videos considering the impact of HIV and AIDS beyond the United States. The video program brings together artists working across the world: Jorge Bordello (Mexico), Gevi Dimitrakopoulou (Greece), Las Indetectables (Chile), George Stanley Nsamba (Uganda), Lucía Egaña Rojas (Chile/Spain), and Charan Singh (India/UK).

Transgender Day of Remembrance: Virtual Community Gathering of Unity

Join the Ithaca College Center for LGBT Education, Outreach, and Services; the Cornell University LGBT Resource Center; and the Ithaca Transgender Group for a digital community observance of the 2020 International Transgender Day of Remembrance.

A night of peace, hope and understanding featuring song, spoken word, poetry, prayer and candle lighting. A live stream event via Facebook and Zoom, honoring and celebrating the lives of transgender people taken from us in 2020.

Know Your Rights: LGBTQ+ Rights Under the NYS Human Rights Law

IC's LGBT Center is pleased to partner with the state Division of Human Rights and with LGBTQ+ serving organizations throughout our region for a session to inform the LGBTQ+ community, in particular transgender, gender non-conforming, and non-binary individuals, of their rights under the Human Rights Law. The event will take place Oct 22 at 6 pm.

Tips, Tools and Hints: a National Coming Out Day conversation

Thinking about coming out to family or friends? Trying to juggle what it means to be LGBTQ+ in a time when you can't be yourself with the people you live with? Already out and missing your community? Protesting in the streets and wanting to look out for yourself or LGBTQ+ loved ones? Be a part of the conversation! We'll talk about safety, support and community in these COVID-19 times.

LGBTQ themed film Made in Bangkok in collaboration with ¡CULTURA! Ithaca

Free virtual screening and discussion of Made in Bangkok, an LGBTQ themed film, cosponsored by ¡CULTURA! Ithaca and the LGBT Center, Sept 23 at 7 pm. As part of CINE con CULTURA film festival featuring Latin American films, in celebration of Latino Heritage Month in collaboration with ¡CULTURA! Ithaca.
