Questions for Reflection

Hey, explorers! Can you believe it's midterm season? The semester is flying by.

With registration for spring semester right around the corner, it's a great time to take stock of your progress. These questions are designed to help you reflect on the types of classes you really enjoy as well as your strengths as you begin narrowing your focus to majors and minors that interest you.

Midterm Season: Questions for Reflection

1. What aspects of your courses this semester have you really enjoyed? (content, assignment types, etc.) Is there a specific course that stands out over the others you are taking?

2. What is your least favorite class this semester? Why?

3. What strengths have you recognized in yourself this semester?

4. What areas for growth have you seen in yourself this semester?

5. What skills from your courses this semester have surprised you? Is there something you didn’t expect to enjoy or be good at, but ended up really liking?

6. How do you see your strengths benefiting you (or coming through) in your interests and possible majors as indicated in your pluses and minuses assignment?

7. How might your responses from above influence your course decisions for next semester?

8. What classes might you want to take and why? List 5.

Carve out some time for a journaling session, or just take a moment to think about your answers. Happy Block Two!
