Exploratory students meet as a group during Fall Orientation to build community. In the past, exploratory orientation events have included a confidential Q&A with peer mentors and more informal bonding over s'mores. Students are are also provided practical support in the form of group information sessions and one-on-one advising check-ins.

Peer Ambassadors and Leaders, also known as PALs, are there for incoming explorers from day one. PALs are just a message away for any student in need of resources, advice, or even someone to get lunch with!

As much as 40 percent of Ithaca’s incoming class in Humanities and Sciences begins their academic journey in the Exploratory Program. To help you get to know your fellow travelers and guides we sponsor a variety of academic, informational, and social events.
- Midterm study break featuring pizza and Q&As with peer mentors about next semester’s courses
- Spotlight presentations on different majors each semester
- A majors and minors fair featuring live advising stations, games, food and prizes
