COVID-19 Updates

As part of Ithaca College's response to COVID-19 the Fitness Center will be open but operating under strict guidelines laid out by New York State. 

Please visit Recreation.Ithaca.edu to reserve your time in the Fitness Center.

Remember to have your Ithaca College ID and Daily Health Screening Badge available when checking in. 


With a valid ID, all members of the Ithaca College campus community are able to rent the following items free of charge 

  • Locks
  • Basketballs
  • Indoor Soccer Balls
  • Jump Ropes
  • Badminton Racquets

Fitness Center Hours

The Fitness Center will be opening with normal academic hours beginning 8/18/2021, our hours will be:

Monday: 7:00am-11:00pm

Tuesday: 7:00am-11:00pm

Wednesday: 7:00am-11:00pm

Thursday: 7:00am-11:00pm

Friday: 7:00am-8:00pm

Saturday: 11:00am-7:00pm

Sunday: 11:00am-11:00pm

The Fitness Center will be closing at 2:00pm on Friday, November 19th 

November 20th- Closed

November 21st- Closed

November 22nd- 11:00am-2:00pm

November 23rd- 11:00am-2:00pm

November 24th- 28th- Closed 

Available Facilities

  • Exercise Area - Our 6,800 square-foot-space is home to more than 50 pieces of cardio equipment as well as two circuits of selectorized machines, free weights, exercise balls, and mats.
  • Aerobics Room - Home to approximately 25 group exercise classes per week, our 1900 square foot aerobics room also hosts many of our recreational and instructional sport club practices.

  • Mondo Floor Gym - With specially designed floors, this 7,025 square-foot-space hosts events, informal recreation, and intramural activities such as floor hockey and soccer.

  • Wood Floor Gym - This 7,200 square-foot-space has a suspended hardwood floor, perfect for informal pickup games and intramural activities such as basketball, volleyball, and badminton. It is also home to our climbing wall.

  • Climbing Wall - Our 26-foot high wall was built in 2005 and welcomes climbers of all skill levels. Four top ropes are available during open wall hours with grades ranging from 5.5-5.13. Bouldering routes with grades ranging from V1-V8 available during open wall hours.


Cardio Equipment - We have 50 pieces of cardio equipment most of which are equipped with personal viewing screens. The following types of cardio equipment are available:

  • Treadmills
  • Adaptive Motion Trainers
  • ARC Trainers
  • Ellipticals

Fitness Equipment - In addition to our cardio selection, we have many other other pieces of fitness equipment to help you achieve your fitness goals including:

  • Two circuits of selectorized strength machines
  • Freeweights
  • Olympic Lifting equipment
  • BOSU balls and balancing items
